Mark Chandler leads our team here at MJC Design and Build. And while everything that happens here is a true team effort, you’ll find Mark personally involved in every project.
Mark has decades of local building experience behind him, ranging from sensitive transformations of proud old farmhouses through to architecturally-designed, ultra modern homes.
And while some builders run from renos, it’s what Mark finds most rewarding. He enjoy the challenges of the crooked and the character-filled. The lived-in and the loved. That’s why MJC Design and Build’s renovations reflect a deep respect for the history and heritage of each home – honouring the past while creating a future-fit home the modern family can enjoy.
Meet Mark
Mark loves getting to know our clients, taking time to understand exactly what you want from your home before using his eye for detail and knack for problem solving to make it happen.
His capable hands have crafted everything from renovated old country farmhouses to architecturally designed contemporary homes. Mark was born into the building business and, at 16, joined his builder father as a carpentry apprentice. But it was through building his own first home that Mark’s carpentry craft became a passion. It was personal. He experienced for himself how it felt to live in a home that was made just for you.
After gaining further qualifications in building and construction, construction management, and work health and safety, Mark started his own building business in 2015 – MJC Constructions, now MJC Design & Build. And he makes sure that personal approach is at the centre of everything we do so that our clients can relax and enjoy the experience of building a home they’ll love to live in.
